Aeropostale Stores and Aeropostale.com
Both Aeropostale’s store and website appeal to a younger demographic – ‘tweens’ and teenagers, maybe early 20’s. However, older folks shouldn’t rule the store out entirely. You can find decent quality items at excellent prices both in-stores and online.
In Store: I am not a big fan of shopping my local Aero store. It is often very disorganized and the sales associates are busy keeping their heads above water. The sale section can contain some amazing deals though, so I think it is worth checking out from time to time. The store is also a good way to see the approximate sizes of garments. In my experience, Aero items run quite small.
Online: Items are organized into Boys and Girls – clearly showing the demographics of the store. At first, I didn’t know if I was simply missing the Women’s section! Once I got my bearings, I checked out the sale items. I was pleased to find a black puffer coat on sale for $29.99 from the original price of $99.50 and a pair of boots for $14.99, down from $59.50! Not bad! Also, I placed my order on Tuesday and received it on Friday without paying for expedited shipping. I’m very, very pleased with that delivery time.
Customer Service Experience:
I have only dealt with in-store customer service representatives and they have always been friendly. Of course this will vary from store to store and season to season, since most of the employees are high school and college-aged kids.
B – I probably wouldn’t spend full retail price on anything at Aeropostale, but if you can catch a great sale, I would definitely recommend checking it out. The coat and boots I ordered are certainly good quality, especially for the prices I paid for them.
What do you think about Aeropostale? Is it just for teenagers or can “grownups” have success there too?
I am not in any way affiliated with Aeropostale, all items mentioned were purchased with my own money, and all opinions are my own.
