I don’t mention it very often, but I’m not very tall. I’m on the tall end of short (5’3″), so it’s not a huge problem, but I am definitely shorter than your average bear.
However, though it’s painfully obvious, it took me a LONG time to realize this. I bought ill-fitting clothes and cluelessly wore them. My shirts bunched in the back, sweaters hit at the wrong place, darts sagged around mid-waist, and worst of all, cheap juniors clothes made their way into my professional wardrobe. It was a mish-mosh of “young adult borrowing mom’s clothes” and “cheap aging 20-something trying to look recapture her high school days.” I’m sure it wasn’t very attractive, looking back.
Thanks to the petite fashion blog world, I have been able to correct most of these deficiencies. I now think about what I wear and try to find items that flatter my frame. These ladies have really done a ton to help me realize what I should and should not wear.
I’ve made some great friends in this community, and so many people have reached out to help me. But I’ve never been asked to share anything about myself… until today! :: drumroll please…. ::
I’m featured at PetiteJD.com!
I am so flattered that I was considered to take part in her “meet a petite fashion blogger” series. I hope you’ll visit and say hello (and learn a little bit more about yours truly).
Also, I wanted to mention that PetiteJD is hosting a very cool fashion challenge that uses 50 classic pieces – and those pieces only. I am not able to participate, but I’d love to see what you can come up with! No need to be petite to join up 🙂
Thank you for the feature, PetiteJD!!
