I was skimming through the world wide web the other day and found a great review of a few smartphone apps that will help you have a successful holiday shopping season. I thought I would be remiss to ignore an opportunity to share the review, so please click here to read: Review: Smartphone apps that can make holiday shopping easier and more fun

In the article, Rachel Metz (who can be found on Twitter at http://twitter.com/rachelmetz) reviews the following smartphone apps:

  • Price Check by Amazon and RedLaser (free, available for iPhone and Android)
  • Gift Plan ($2.99, available for iPhone)
  • Shopkick (free, available for iPhone, Android)
  • Lemon (free, available for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone)

Personally, I use Google Docs for most of my holiday shopping. I have a “Gift Idea” spreadsheet shared with my family, and a “Gifts Purchased” spreadsheet that I keep to myself with columns for everyone I have bought for and the amount spent. Since I have an android phone, the link to Google is a huge perk.

Have you used any of these smartphone apps to aid your shopping this holiday season? Do you have any others to recommend?
