Comcast: We now interrupt your regularly scheduled football

While I was enjoying (for lack of a better word) the NFC Championship game last night, a friend of mine sent me a message asking if I was getting Comcast ads in the middle of the game.

Since I have FiOS, the answer was no.

Apparently on his set, there were Comcast ads stuck in the middle of the game.  They were of course during time outs, but not during the regular commercial breaks… kind of in the middle of the game when the commentators were talking.  He said, “It’s like the person running the ads had a quick finger and was pressing buttons to run the ads thinking they were going to commercial.”

You’d think Comcast would do a better job since it is consistently cited as one of the worst companies in America…

Anyway, did anyone else see any weird commercials while the game was on?

If so, I’d recommend switching to FiOS (if it’s available in your area).  How annoying.

Update: Here’s a link explaining the situation and a video of what happened (Thanks, Mike!):

    Ugh that sucks! I had no idea it was DC only, but it does explain why he’s the only person I know who saw those ads. Wish I’d been following the tweets 🙂 haha

    Wow. That’s foul. I would have been upset. I guess it was contagious though because DirecTV had video drop out during the game. It happened about three times.

    @Q

    It does happen sometime.
