I Voted

According to local blog DCist, it’s technically illegal to give people free things for voting. ┬áSomething about buying votes and legal jargon and bla bla bla. Well, that didn’t stop many retailers from promising free stuff to people on Election Day here in the US of A.

Check out this awesome list of a ton of freebies you can get just for voting. Or wearing a sticker. Or something.

My favorites:

  • California Tortilla is giving free tacos to anyone wearing an “I Voted” sticker on Election Day.
  • Macy’s is having an Election Day sale with 15 to 20 percent off items. Using coupon code “ELECT” will score 20 percent off online purchases.
  • Olive Garden will give a free Dolcini with purchase of an entree to those wearing the “I Voted” sticker.
  • On The Border is giving free sopapillas if you have a coupon from its Facebook page.
  • Starbucks is giving away wristbands on Election Day that say “INDIVISIBLE.”
  • Tim Horton’s is giving away a free donut with the purchase of a beverage on Election Day.
  • White Castle is giving a free small Sweet Potato Waffle Fry with purchase to anyone who shows up wearing their “I Voted” sticker.

Do you know of any other awesome freebies? Leave them in the comments!
